The Induction
Length – 2 weeks
Location – 2 weeks (full time equivalent)
Your first day is completing that important paperwork with your manager. You will then go through a 10 shift plan taking you through our raising the game service program. You will spend time with our specialists to master your knowledge in Beer, Coffee, Wine, Spirits and Service. You will also have access to FLOW our e-learning system in which you will gain nationally recognised certificates in food safety and complete our Beerology certificate.
Ongoing learning and development
As a Kitchen at Brewhouse and Kitchen we offer a variety of courses for you to master your skills and develop towards the next step in your career. This includes nationally recognised apprenticeships.
Within our Front of House teams we have roles called specialists. These roles champion 5 areas within the business; Beer, Wine, Coffee, Service and Spirits. Our specialists are tasked with being the keeper of knowledge within the team for their specialist and training our new starters. Our beer specialists are tasked with educating our guests on the world of beer by delivering our beer masterclasses. To become a specialist you will attend a training course in your desired speciality. You will then undertake rigorous assessments before being signed off. This position is awarded with an enhanced payrate.
Craft: This is our level 2 apprenticeship for our front of house teams. This apprenticeship will take you through all the areas of front of house, developing you into our managers of the future. You will undertake foundation workshops in customer care, wine, beer and cellar, cocktails and mixology and barista skills. After completing these 5 workshops you will then go on to complete our own B&K specialist courses to master your knowledge even further.
Many of our team will also take the Brewers Academy route and develop to become a Brewer.
